The morning didn't go necessarily as planned: skies opened up right as everyone was getting ready, the kind of weather no amount of planning accounts for. And then, by ceremony time, it cleared. Mountains still catching the last of the storm clouds, grass still damp, light doing something no one could have staged on purpose. Just in time for a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour to welcome everyone to their floral lined tent.

Maddie wore Mira Zwillinger, and under the gown, a pair of cowboy boots in a very Dallas meeting Jackson Hole love story of Texas roots planted firmly in mountain-west ground. The reception tent carried that same thread through: florals framing the entrance in pink and green, a sage green checkered dance floor underfoot, nothing borrowed from a template, all of it unmistakably theirs.

By the time the dancing started, the rain was a story they were already telling. That's usually how the best ones go.

Framed by the Tetons, Maddie & Wynn's wedding proved that a little rain in the morning only makes the evening that follows feel even more like magic.
