Based in England and the USA, Trained professionally in fine art and film photography with a BFA from Florida State, I learned early that light and timing matter more than any pose ever will. Every wedding I shoot - from a valley floor in the Rockies, a swanky Manhattan private club, or a quaint European villa will all get the same energy from me: full attention, unlimited coverage, and photographs built to hold up long after the guests have gone home.
ABOUT BWP
I shoot with a fine art photographer's eye, and an editorial photographer's instincts, because the difference between a nice picture and one you'll actually reach for in thirty years usually comes down to both.
BEHELD IN LEGACY
At Florida State, my photography professor made us shoot black and white only: 35mm, pinhole or hand made cameras and nothing digital, nothing in color, because we hadn't earned it yet. Most of what we photographed was mundane on purpose: laundromats, parking garages, roommates doing nothing. It trained my eye to find something in almost anything. That patience never left me: I still shoot weddings like the moment only happens once, because it does.
Over the years that's taken me from Colorado mountain chalets to Manhattan private members clubs to the Baja Peninsula day clubs to villas in Italy and countrysides in the UK. Different guest lists, different languages on the invitations, same instinct every time: find the real moment before it's gone.
I don't do hourly tiers or clock-watching. Every single wedding gets full, unlimited coverage, because I don't want to be the reason you're missing your exit photos, or dazzling in your late night party dress. My goal has always been to make sure that in thirty years, you open a gallery and remember exactly how it felt, not just how it looked.
I didn't initially set out to shoot weddings. At university, I set out to study light, and weddings turned out to be the one place where light, story, beauty and emotion show up in the same room at the same time. I've been chasing the intersection of those things my whole life.
PHOTOGRAPHER, PROFESSIONAL EAVESDROPPER, THE LAST ONE STILL LOOKING FOR BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS AT 1AM.
Hi, I'm Bree!
My wedding coverage, for this reason, is comprehensive full days by standard, not blocked hours. I don't pack up before the dancing gets good, and I definitely don't leave before someone's uncle attempts a speech he wasn't asked to give.
Unlimited coverage is a standard for all packages.
Weddings move fast. The best moments are gone in an instant. My job is to already be looking the right direction when they happen. Not because I'm lucky, but because I've spent ten years learning where to stand.
THE BWP DIFFERENCE
ā Macie, Past Bride
I can genuinely feel the emotions of the day through her photos, which Iām so grateful to have forever. She listened to our needs and plan for the day and went above and beyond for us.
